Debra L. Davis is an Instructor in the School of Computing and Information Sciences at Florida International University, and a former Digital Instructor in the Department of Psychology. Prior to joining FIU, she was the Chief Information Officer for The Children’s Trust. Dr. Davis has a background in both Computer Science and Cognitive Developmental Psychology, with expertise in experimental research design, and Human-Computer Interaction including designing and conducting IT user experience research for industry, education and research applications. Her research interests emphasize interdisciplinary topics including understanding and improving: (1) Computer Science education; (2) complex human-machine interactions; and (3) educational applications and techniques for online STEM learning. In the last four (4) years, Dr. Davis has been a Co-PI on four (4) NSF grants including a Co-PI on an IUSE Design and Development 2 NSF grant.
