Eliana Valenzuela-Andrade holds a Ph.D. in Computing, Information Sciences and Engineering, and M.E. in Management Systems from the UPR-Mayagüez and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Her research areas are Database Management System, Educational Robotics, Swarm Robotics, Outreach for STEM careers, among others. Recently, she has been interested in innovative tools to motivate young people to explore CS topics and encourage them to continue a career. She is part of LiC, FemProf, and CAHSI. She is implementing the Problem Solving courses and has taught PS1 and PS2 at UPR-Arecibo.
