Roberto Camacho is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at El Paso, where he conducts research in the Discovery Analytics Laboratory. His current research is focused on designing data mining algorithms suitable for use in HPC resources. Roberto received his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Subsequently, after working in industry for three years, he attained a master’s in Computational Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, in Germany, with the support of a CONACYT scholarship for international studies.
