Patricia Ordóñez Rozzo is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras. She holds a B. A. in Hispanic and Italian Studies (Johns Hopkins University) and MS/PhD in CS (University of Maryland Baltimore County). Her research uses visualization and data mining to improve medicine in intensive care units. She founded the Symposium of Health Informatics in Latin America and the Caribbean and coordinated the Biomedical Data Science Workshop and the Hacking Health in the Caribbean hackathon. She is interested in developing assistive technologies for programming and is a former NSF Graduate Research Fellow.
